Ciaté London X Olivia Palermo

The always gorgeous Olivia Palermo was in Dublin this weekend to officially launch her collection with Ciaté London for Brown Thomas. I was lucky enough to be one of 200 who got the chance to meet the style icon and have a photo taken.

When it comes to fashion, Olivia never gets it wrong and she certainly proved that this weekend. Wearing a black floral print Preen dress and red suede Christian Louboutin pumps for her press day followed by another Preen dress and killer Jimmy Choo knee high boots while meeting fans. Both of her looks were complete with Baublebar accessories.

Olivia was the most elegant and beautiful human being I have ever been in the presence of. She was really lovely and had a huge smile on her face the entire time, like she truly enjoyed where she was and what she was doing. It was an absolute pleasure to meet her and have a little chat. She even expressed how much she loved my own dress. Amazing.

The Ciaté London X Olivia Palermo collection is now available to purchase exclusively in Brown Thomas, in store and online.

Bessie The Bus

In case you've been living under a rock these last few months and haven't already heard, a certain, very stylish, bus has been traveling around the UK bringing you lovely lot the latest fashion right to your doorstep.

Introducing Bessie the Bus by Oasis.

Bessie, who used to be a mobile library, is traveling for twelve months with over 250 stops along the way. She is packed full with the latest trends and collections from Oasis. This week, Bessie made a stop at Dundrum Town Centre to showcase her awesomeness and I went to check her out.

Of course, I instantly fell in love with her. Along with an amazing range of clothes from Oasis, Bessie has her own retro kitchen on board full of handbags, cute little socks and jewellery - who needs a kettle anyway? She has even made space in the fridge for her impressive shoe collection. And after a long shopping spree on board, there a pretty beach chairs just outside for you to sit and relax in. Perfect.

In case Bessie herself isn't reason enough to hop on board, everyone who spends €70 gets a free gift - yayyyyyy! To find out where Bessie will be stopping and to see if she is coming to a city near you, check out Bessie's bus timetable to make sure you don't miss her.

European Adventure: Prague

Prague is a gorgeous, well-preserved medieval city coupled with a rich history, Vegas-style nightlife, and a hint of romance which now holds a special place in my heart. The city’s essence — cobblestone streets, quaint medieval houses and incredible charm — is what makes Prague Prague.

Although Prague is a popular destination to visit while interrailing, it is also the perfect place for a quick city break or stag/hen party. With cheap food and drink, great tourist attraction's and an incredible nightlife, Prague is a city that should definitely be on your list of places to visit.

Explore the Old Town Square

Old Town Square is the place to be in Prague. It has tons of cafes, restaurants and bars to choose from and it is also where the famous Astronomical clock is located. The detail and artistry of the clock is definitely one of the most beautiful I have seen, but unfortunately the hourly chime that people line up for is anticlimactic. The clock is the most over-hyped attraction in Prague. Despite this, the tower in which the clock is on has the most spectacular view of Old Town Square and Prague City. The 200czk price tag and the thirty minute wait to get to the top is definitely worth it.

Prague Castle

This is one of the most popular sites in Prague. The castle, which looks over the city, consists of multiple sections—St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, The Story of Prague Castle, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane with Daliborka Tower, the Powder Tower, and Rosenberg Palace. You can purchase a ticket for any or all of these sites at the box office. The architecture of the castle is breathtaking and rivals that of Notre Dame. The stain glass windows inside the castle were a beautiful site.

Nightlife

The nightlife in Prague is one of the best I have experienced. Cocktail bars, music bars, karaoke bars, pub crawls, an ice pub and the largest nightclub in Central Europe, there is something for everyone. The Prague Official Pub Crawl was my favourite part of the entire trip, so much so that we did it twice. The first hour is free drinks — wine, beer, cranberry vodka shots and absinthe shots — plus a free entry shot into every bar, finishing up in the largest nightclub with five floors (the oldies floor was 100% the best), all for only 500czk. As there are so many inter-railers who visit Prague, the pub crawl is the best way to meet new people. If you are planning on visiting Prague, Coyote Bar in Old Town Square is a must. Based on the movie Coyote Ugly, this bar has great food, cocktails and an electric atmosphere.

Other attractions to see are:

The John Lennon Wall
Petrin Park
Dancing House
The Jewish Quarter

Prague is the city to get happily lost in. Meander its winding streets and find restaurants, churches and markets.

The Return

I'M BACK!

VivneFashion has returned to the world of blogging.

As you all know, it has been a couple of months (six months to be exact) since my last post and I just want take the time to say that I am unbelievably sorry and give you a little explanation for my sudden disappearance.

Towards the end of 2014, I began having some personal problems which eventually came to a head in February of this year, this resulted in me not having the motivation to write posts and blogging was unfortunately no longer on my list of priorities. This then lead to my break in blogging. As well as personal issues, I was struggling to find a job. I was very focused on searching for a job that it took up a huge amount of my time.

But I can now tell you that I am in a much better place in my life and I am also now a working woman. Hurrah! This means that I can now start blogging again and hopefully VivneFashion can begin to grow and develop.

Now that I am working, I will be able to get into a routine and figure out a schedule for posting. I have a few posts up my sleeve that will be coming over the next few weeks that I hope you lovely readers enjoy, including my new job and recent European adventure. And don't forget, if there is anything you would like to see me write about please don't heasitate to leave a comment below or on any of my social media accounts. All sugestions are welcome.

Until my next post,

Love,

How To: Silver Brogues

Primark is everyone's go to store. Great fashion for amazing prices. And just the other day, Primark posted a pair of Silver Brogues on their instagram for their Spring 15 collection and I instantly fell in love. I fell so in love, I went straight out and bought myself a pair.

Silver brogues go great with reliable basics like a little black dress and matching opaque tights. The look can work for casual or fancy events alike. Metallics are considered a neutral so they go great with bright colours. These flats are perfect with floral skirts and party dresses. The boyishness of the shoe balances out the girliness of your outfit. Or go casual with faded jeans and a stripped tee.

Below are three ways on how to wear silver brogues. (Note: the brogues in my polyvore sets are not the silver brogues from Primark and are instead Toms)

New Season Trends: Stripes

Stripes stripes stripes stripes stripes!

One of the trends that seemed to spread like wildfire and found on nearly every single Spring runway, stripes are making a major statement. From accessories to outerwear- they were shown in bright colours at Balmain, black and white at Altuzarra and Chanel brought them alive in nautical cosy knits. They created geometric shapes that complimented a women's figure, they were paired together and we seen designers play with positioning and placement.

It is clear that stripes are here to stay for the entirety of 2015. So naturally, as this trend has been so prominent, and has been seen on celebs such as Sienna Miller, I have put together a list of my favourite pieces from the high street to see you rocking the stripes trend this season.
